Overview
EquiCalendar is a simple horse riding training calendar. The app is designed to help users plan and view training events.
EquiCalendar is not a stable management system, horse health tracker, feeding manager, financial tool, or social network.
Data We Collect
EquiCalendar may collect the following data:
- Google sign-in information, such as email address, display name, and Firebase user ID.
- Training calendar data created by the user, such as training type, date, start time, end time, event color, notes, and reminder settings.
- App preferences, such as language, theme, app color, and button position.
How We Use Data
We use data to:
- create and display training calendar events,
- save user events locally on the device,
- sync events online after Google sign-in,
- show reminders when enabled by the user,
- allow the user to manually add a selected event to an external calendar.
Online Sync
When the user signs in with Google, EquiCalendar stores calendar data in Firebase so the same training calendar can be available online and across devices.
If the user does not sign in, training events may be stored locally on the device or browser storage.
Google Calendar and Apple Calendar
EquiCalendar does not automatically write every event to Google Calendar or Apple Calendar.
The user can manually add a selected event:
- Add to Google Calendar opens Google Calendar with the selected event details.
- Apple Calendar (.ics) creates an .ics calendar file for the selected event.
These actions happen only when the user chooses them.
Notifications
If the user enables reminders, EquiCalendar may use browser or native notification features to remind the user about selected training events.
Ads
The current release of EquiCalendar does not use a third-party advertising network. The app contains internal code structure for a possible future banner placement, but advertising is disabled in the current version.
Data Sharing
EquiCalendar does not sell personal data.
Data may be processed by service providers used to operate the app, including Firebase services. When the user manually exports an event to Google Calendar or an .ics file, only the selected event details are used for that action.
Data Deletion
Signed-in users can delete their EquiCalendar account data inside the app:
- Open the settings menu.
- Open Notifications and calendar.
- Choose Delete account and data.
This removes saved training data from the cloud and clears local training data from the device.
Users can also contact support.horse@gmail.com to request help with data deletion.
Public account and data deletion page: delete-account.html.
Children's Privacy
EquiCalendar is intended for users aged 13 and older. It is not directed to children under 13. Users below the age required by local law to consent to online services should use the app with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
Changes
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Updates will be reflected by changing the Last updated date.
